In the second week of September 2020 trading on the LuSE, Six companies’ securities recorded trades. Mondays’ equities trading was the best performance of the week. Trading activity was recorded CEC ZAMBIA, LAFARGE, ZANACO, STANDARD CHARTERED , ZAMBIA SUGAR and ZAMBIAN BREWERIES.

Monday 7th  

In 5 trades recorded today, 5,339 shares were transacted yielding a market turnover of K28,832. A share price loss of K0.01 was recorded in LAFARGE. Trading activity was also recorded in COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION and ZAMBIAN BREWERIES. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 3,838.20 points, 0.01% down from its previous close of 3,838.66 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K55,526,786,361 including Shoprite Holdings and K21,287,580,381 excluding Shoprite Holdings.

Tuesday 8th  

In 3 trades recorded today, 1,056 shares were transacted yielding a market turnover of K1,129. Trading activity was recorded in COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION and STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA . The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) maintained its close at 3,838.20 points. As there were no share price movements. The market closed on a capitalization of K55,526,786,361 including Shoprite Holdings and K21,287,580,381 excluding Shoprite Holdings.

Wednesday 9th

In 22 trades recorded today, 5,402 shares were transacted yielding a market turnover of K4,416. A share price loss of K0.02 was recorded in COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION. Trading activity was also recorded in ZANACO and ZAMBIA FORESTRY AND FOREST CORPORATION. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 3,830.62 points, 0.19% down from its previous close of 3,838.20 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K55,494,286,349 including Shoprite Holdings and K21,255,080,369 excluding Shoprite Holdings.

Friday 11th

In 6 trades recorded today, 7,720 shares were transacted yielding a market turnover of K6,421. A share price gain of K0.01 was recorded in COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION. Trading activity was also recorded in ZAMBA SUGAR. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 3,834.35 points, 0.10% up from its previous close of 3,830.62 points.
