Good Morning. I am delighted to join you this morning to celebrate the opening of the newly refurbished Choma Branch of the Zambia National Building Society. May I also extend a warm welcome to everyone here present. I thank you for making time from your busy schedules to attend this function.
Guest of Honour, Choma is the heart of the Southern Province serving as a commercial corridor for trade between Zambia and Southern Africa. It is the gateway to Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. With its rich cultural heritage, Choma town is of paramount importance to the economy as it boasts of Tourism, Agriculture and Commercial activities and a critical access point to other boarders.
However today, we stand here before a newly refurbished ZNBS Branch in Choma, celebrating the transformation of the Society into a dynamic institution with modernized facilities. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Society has continued to drive its vision “To be the leading Housing Finance Institution with Premier Banking services in the Zambian Financial Market’’. This entails not only focusing on enabling more Zambians to own houses, but also, to providing affordable housing finance and other Banking services.
One of our key strategic objectives is to improve Customer Service: The Society values its customer and it is for this reason, my Board has put up measures to ensure that the Society becomes even more customer centric, putting its customers at the front of everything. These key measures include but are not limited to the following;
- Improving customer convenience in accessing the Society’s products and services,
- Having a dedicated team to resolve customer complaints on time,
- Improving Brand visibility and;
- Refurbishing the Branches to improve customer experience
Distinguished guests, our gathering here to witness the launch of this new Branch, demonstrates our dedication to continuously improve in-Branch services to our esteemed customers in Choma. The Branch is designed to meet the increasing demand and expectations of the Zambia National Building Society by its customers and is supported by the recent enhancements in our digital footprint, through the implementation of Mobile Money, Online Banking and Agency Banking channels.
On this memorable occasion, I must thank and congratulate all those who have worked so hard in contributing to the refurbishment of this Branch. May I take the opportunity to wish all colleagues and staff members, every success in deepening your customer relationships in your new working environment.
