Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Zambian Breweries has announced the appointment of a new Director on its board, according to a statement from the company.
“Pursuant to section 3.59 of the LuSE Listing Requirements, the Board of Directors of Zambian Breweries PLC (“the Board”) wishes to announce the appointment of Mr Obed Somali as an executive Director of the Board effective 17th September 2020”, read the statement issued by Company Secretary Deborah Bwalya in Lusaka by order of the Board 21 September 2020.
According to the statement, “Mr Somali is a fully qualified CIMA accountant, and he is also a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. He joined the Company in January 2013 as an Accounts Payable Accountant, later taking up the position of Accounts Payable Supervisor and he has worked in various roles within the finance function”.
The beverage maker’s Board is delighted to have Obed on board. “The Board looks forward to Mr Somali’s contribution to the Company as an executive member of the Board and wishes him well in his new post”.
