In the final week of November 2021 bond trading on the Lusaka Stock exchange we see more trading activity on the bond market as there were several weeks that went by without any trading whatsoever. We see the equities market completely dominate the bond market with a 97% score to 3% on the bond market. As we had a combined week of November and December, as we begin December we see the bond market dominate the equities market recording a score of 98% to 2% on the equities side.

In the week ended 03rd December 2021, a total of 150,795,828 shares were transacted in 338 trades, yielding a market turnover of K1,976,093,262. Trading activity was recorded in AFRICA EXPLOSIVES CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL , AIRTEL, BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO ZAMBIA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION, LAFARGE, NATIONAL BREWERIES, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT ZAMBIA, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, ZAMBEEF, ZAMBIAN BREWERIES, ZANACO, ZAMBIA FORESTRY and FOREST CORPORATION and CEC AFRICA on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 5,409.13 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K64,344,100,258 including Shoprite Holdings and K29,561,414,818 excluding Shoprite Holdings.
Bond Market
Bonds of total face value of K184,769,000 were transacted in 27 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K152,430,000.
