Puma Energy Zambia Plc has announced the resignation of one of its Board Members, according to a statement from the company.
“Pursuant to section 3.59 of the LuSE Listing Requirements, the Board of Directors of Puma Energy Zambia Plc (“the Board”) wishes to announce the resignation of Mr Sidy Bane as Director of the Board effective 28 February 2020”, read a statement issued by Company Secretary Kalunga Lutato on 04 March 2020 in Lusaka.
Sidy, who is a holder of an Executive MBA from HEC Paris Business school and a Masters degree in audit business planning from SKEMA Business School, has been with the PUMA Energy group for just over 11 years.
The issued statement does not disclose whether he has left the Group as he also Chief Operating Officer of the West African outfit of PUMA. However, the Board indicated that they “would like to express appreciation to Mr Bane for his valued contribution during his tenure as a Director and wishes him well in his future endeavours”.
With the departure of Gregoire Charmetant in November 2019, the Board took this opportunity to announce the dual appointments of “Mr Mike Baker and Mr Patricio Chababo as Directors of the Board effective 2 March 2020”.
Patricio is currently Chief Operating Officer of the Angola outfit having joined it in 2018. Prior to this, he served for 2 years 7 months as Executive Vice President of AXION energy which he joined after spending 8 years with Shell, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The board sits are now filled up and they are delighted with the new additions. “The Board would also like to congratulate Mr Baker and Mr Chababo on their appointment as Directors of the Board and wishes them the best”.
