Lafarge Zambia Plc has announced the resignation of its long-serving Company Secretary, according to a statement by the company.
“Pursuant to section 3.59 of the LuSE Listings Requirements, the Board of Directors of Lafarge Zambia PLC (“Lafarge” or “the Company”), wishes to announce the resignation of Ms Harriet Kapekele-Katongo as Company Secretary effective 30th November 2019”, read a statement issued by Harriet Katongo by order of the Board on 15th November 2019.
Harriet must have had a cordial relationship with the board as this becomes the first announcement published on SENS that was issued by an exiting official. “The Board also wishes to thank Ms Katongo for her 10-year service with the Company and wishes her the best in her future endeavours”.
Since CEO Jimmy Khan’s arrival in Q1 2019, the management team at Lafarge has had a bit of a shakeup. In June, the company announced the exit of Raphael Chipoma, CFO, whose role was steered by Jimmy for a few months until the arrival of Ahmed Khalifa in September.
