As Q4 set in and a new financial year started for one of Zambia’s leading auditing and consulting firms, having a relaxed day at Bonanza Golf estate was the perfect way for KPMG and its counterparts to chart the way into 2020 through networking.
KPMG Zambia had a busy 3rd quarter, that culminated in hosting the final post budget sit down dinner for the Finance Minister Dr Bwalya Ngandu.
Golf day has fast become an event that many corporates look forward to as was evidenced by the overwhelming response that the Jason Kazilimani led team received for professionals wishing to showcase their various handicaps on the golf course.
Notable partners on the day included FNB, Barclays, Renault, Zanaco, Madison General, Rainet Logistics, Holland insurance, Atlas Mara, Oryxgas and Standard Chartered Bank.
A really cool concept was have each hole being sponsored by a different company. This meant participants of golf day could take moment to intimately engage with sponsors at each hole.
Over 18 holes of birdies and puts, what KPMG achieved was a masterstroke in marketing and networking. This will be crucial for businesses in 2020 as forecasts from the IMF, World bank and Ministry of Finance forecast a modest 2% growth in that fiscal year.
