In accordance with the Lusaka Securities Exchange (“LuSE”) Listings Requirements, the Board of Directors of Airtel Networks Zambia Plc (“Airtel” or “the Company”) hereby advises the Shareholders of the Company that the Earnings Per Share for the year ended 31 December 2021 is expected to be approximately 300% higher than the year ended 31 December 2020.
The increase in the EPS is primarily attributed to strong revenue growth coupled with improved operating efficiencies & reversal of exchanges losses as Kwacha appreciated by 21.4% to K16.65/$1 from K21.19 on 31 December 2020.
Shareholders are advised that the information contained in this Trading Statement has not been reviewed nor reported on by the external auditors of the Company.
The Company expects its results for the year ended 31 December to be released on SENS and published in the local press on or about Friday, 11 March 2022. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s Securities until publication of the results.
