Pursuant to section 3.59 of the LuSE Listing Requirements, the Board of Directors of Airtel Networks Zambia Plc (“Airtel” or the “Company”) wishes to announce the resignation of Apoorva Mehrotra as Managing Director of the Company effective 1st October 2022. Furthermore, the Board would also like to announce the appointment of Manu Sood as Manging director and Board Director effective 1 October 2022.

Mr Apoorva Mehrotra shall remain a non-executive Director on the Board of Airtel. Manu has over 25 years’ experience across the Telecom, Consumer Durables and FMCG sectors. Prior to his appointment, Manu was with Bharti Airtel and held various including Chief of Distribution, Hub CEO upper North and most recently MD & DTH CEO for Bharti Telemedia Limited. Manu has also worked with Hindustan Level Limited where he held various roles in Sales, Marketing and General Management. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.

The Board would like to express appreciation to Apoorva Mehrotra for his valued contribution to the Company during his tenure as Managing Director and wishes him well in his future endeavours. Furthermore, the Board would like to congratulate Manu Sood on his appointment and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
