Royal Zambian Airlines (RZA) was officially incorporated in May of 2020, and now prepares to embark on its maiden voyage in December. According to a recent press release, the company operates as a department within the Royal Air Charters brand, and exists commercially as its subsidiary, Royal Zambian Airlines is a wonder all of its own – offering ‘best-in-class’, medium-range jet capability for fifty (50) passengers, by way of an Embraer ERJ 145 LR.
Many countries in the second half of 2020 began to ease restrictions on travel. With South Africa being one of them, Royal Zambian Airlines will be scheduling flights between Lusaka and JHB.
“Our current flight schedule covers the route from Lusaka to Johannesburg, and vice versa, and allows customers to change their travel plans up to 24 hours before departure (at no cost!) with flexible tickets.”
With South Africa being a major trading partner of Zambia, the RZA team is on the mark to mobility between the two countries back on track with a Zambian twist.
The airline has not only been operating passenger travel but also uses its reserve capacity to offer couriering of cargo. This implies that multifaceted approach in terms of revenue streams is key to survival for many businesses in the corona virus era.
