In comparison to the second week of February 2021 which recorded a score of 91% on the bond market to 9% on the equities side. There was much more trading activity on the bond market this time last year in comparison to now.

In the week ended 11th February 2022, a total of 117,838 shares were transacted in 200 trades, yielding a market turnover of K266,620. Trading activity was recorded in AIRTEL, BATA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION, INVESTRUST, CHILANGA CEMENT, MADISON FINANCIAL SERVICES, NATIONAL BREWERIES, ZAMBIA REINSURANCE, PUMA, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, ZAMBEEF, ZANACO, ZAMBIA SUGAR, ZAMBIA FORESTRY CORPORATION, FIRST QUANTUM MINING and CEC AFRICA on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 6,434.39 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K68,817,926,929 including Shoprite Holdings and K34,035,241,489 excluding Shoprite Holdings.
