Two weeks into the month of the final quarter, we see minimal trading activity on the equities market. Although, there is a pick up on the bond market and we are seeing more trading activity in comparison to weeks prior. The bond market dominated the equities recording a 100%.
Equity Market

Trading activity was recorded in AIRTEL, BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO ZAMBIA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION, LAFARGE, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, SHOPRITE HOLDINGS, ZAMBEEF, ZANACO, ZAMBIA SUGAR, ZAMBIA FORESTRY and FOREST CORPORATION, FIRST QUANTUM MINING and CEC AFRICA on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 5,590.72 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K65,136,474,154 including Shoprite Holdings and K30,353,788,714 excluding Shoprite Holdings.
Bond Market
Bonds of total face value of K567,000,000 were transacted in 9 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K419,875,000.
