In a remarkable turn of events for the first time in the month of September and after a while in the last few weeks, the bond market returns its glory. As two days recorded trades during the week recording a score of 90% on the bond market to 10% on the equities side.
In comparison to week three of September 2020 which recorded a 61% on the bond market to a 39% on the equities side. This years performance was so much better for the third week of September.

In the week ended 17th September 2021, a total of K7,827,927 shares were transacted in 193 trades, yielding a market turnover of K14,375,162. Trading activity was recorded in AFRICA EXPLOSIVES CORPORATION LIMITED, AIRTEL, BATA, BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO ZAMBIA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION, LAFARGE, NATIONAL BREWERIES, PUMA, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT ZAMBIA, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, ZAMBEEF, ZANACO, ZAMBIA CONSOLIDATED COPPER MINES, ZAMBIA SUGAR and CEC AFRICA on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 4,746.58 points.

Bonds of total face value of K167,979,000 were transacted in 33 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K123,924,000.
