In the battle of opposites, three weeks into the month of July 2021 bond trading on the Lusaka stock exchange. The equities market completely dominates the bond market as there was no trading that took place during the week. Companies securities continue to record negative earnings but with the economic crisis going on in South Africa which is a major exporter of finished goods to Zambia this may lessen their GDP growth but increase ours if we work accordingly, the Zambian economy will be forced to produce more local goods which will cause more consumption of local goods which will lessen importation and boost the economy which will be a turn around for the companies’ securities’ on the stock exchange.
In comparison to week three of July 2020,we see that the equities market only recorded a 1% to 99% on the bond market while this year it eclipsed the bond market by 100% score.
