The bond market recorded a 100% score to 0% on the equities market. While in the third week of July 2023, the bond market recorded a 95% score to 5% on the equity market. Regarding the equity market Chilanga Cement recorded the highest turnover during the week.
Equity Market
In the week ended 21st July 2023, a total of 518,127 shares were transacted in 211 trades, yielding a market turnover of K1,793,728.72. Trading activity was recorded AECI MINING, AIRTEL NETWORKS, BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO ZAMBIA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION ZAMBIA, CHILANGA CEMENT, PUMA ENERGY, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT HOLDINGS ZAMBIA, STANDARD CHARTERED BANK LIMITED, ZAMBIAN BREWERIES, ZAMBEEF, ZANACO, ZAMBIA SUGAR, ZAMBIA FORESTRY and FOREST CORPORATION and CEC AFRICA INVESTMENTS on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 8,229.51 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K76,753,219,226.08 including Shoprite Holdings and K41,970,533,786.08 excluding Shoprite Holdings.
