Weekly Bond Market Diary (4th to 8th January 2021)

In the first week of the month of January 2021 bond trading, bonds of total face value of K117,604,000 were transacted in 5 trades, yielding a market value sales of K100,618,000 in comparison to the first week of January 2020 which didn’t necessary record trades in the first three days of the year. Only three day recorded trades during the week, of which Wednesdays’ bond trading was the best performance of the week. The bond market continues to dominate the equities market, with the equities market continuous recording of meagre scores.

Bonds of total face value of K40,000,000 were transacted in 2 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K26,858,320

Tuesday 5th

There were no bonds traded today.

Wednesday 6th

Bonds of total face value of K76,863,000 were transacted in 2 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K73,259,460.

Thursday 7th

Bonds of total face value of K741,000 were transacted in 1 trade, resulting in a market value sales of K500,000

Friday 8th

There were no bonds traded today.
