ACCA Zambia created localized webinars. The series called Business Adaptability Series was successfully launched the first webinar on May 5th, 2020 featuring EY Country Partner Patrick Mawire titled Leaders Guide to Managing in Adversity, followed by HR Business Continuity in Zambia in the Face of Covid-19 featuring Chimango Chikwanda, Director – People function Absa bank.
ACCA Zambia Country Head, Janice Matwi said “ACCA is working hard to support our members and other stakeholders through this challenging crisis. We’re all in this together, so sharing ideas, advice and innovative thinking is essential. Our current focus is to support our community of members, students and employer partners. We are also working to support our community to play a key role in assessing the financial implications and risks of Covid-19, helping to guide organisations through the challenges, and playing a key role in business continuity and planning for recovery.”
The next webinar in the ACCA Zambia Business Adaptability Series is titled Leading at the Edge of Chaos featuring Vusi Thembekwayo, Global Business Speaker, private equity Managing Partner, CEO of pan-African impact investment firm MyGrowthFund Venture Capital & convenor of leading research boutique IC Knowledge Bureau.
“We had been planning to have Vusi Thembekwayo as keynote speaker at our ACCA Business Leaders Conference this year and when the pandemic hit, we had to put our conference on hold. Vusi is still going to be our keynote speaker but we are also hosting him on the 23rd of June in our business adaptability webinars.
