Investrust Bank’s Non-Executive Director on the board, Dr. Womba Zulu has resigned after serving 8 months on the board, according to a statement from the bank.
“In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Lusaka Securities Exchange Listing Rules, the Board of Directors of Investrust Bank Plc (“the Board”) wishes to announce the resignation of Dr. Womba K. Zulu as a Non-Executive Director of the Board effective 31st March,2020”, read a statement issued by the bank’s Company Secretary Brian Msidi on 2nd April 2020 in Lusaka.
Womba’s appointment to the board was announced alongside the appointment of the bank’s new board chair, Peter Banda in August 2019. “Furthermore, the board would also like to announce the appointments of Mr. Peter H. Banda as the new chairperson and Dr. Womba K. Zulu as a non-executive director”, read the SENS announcement from the bank published on 9th August 2019.
Despite her short tenure, “the Board wishes to sincerely thank Dr Zulu for her valued and dedicated service to the Bank during her tenure as a Director and wishes her well in her future endeavours”.
