The accountancy profession ushered in 172 new graduates at its annual graduation ceremony in Lusaka on 16th May 2019.
ZICA offers a number of accountancy related programs that include Diplomas and Certificate.
“I was delighted to officiate at the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants’ (ZICA) 13 graduation ceremony this morning”, read a LinkedIn status update on ZICA President Jason Kazilimani profile who is a known advocate of home grown accountancy programs that are fit for purpose for Zambia.
“I awarded certificates to 172 Graduands in total, from the December 2018 sitting, broken down as follows: – 133 Diploma in Accountancy; – 19 Certificate in Taxation; – 8 Diploma in Taxation; – 4 Diploma in Public Sector Financial Management; and – 8 Chartered Accountant Zambia”, the status update further read. “Of note was the fact that the female candidates generally performed better than the male candidates in this particular sitting”.
This is a significant milestone for ZICA as it ushers in more professionals that are guardians of prudence in organizations.
