Former Lusaka Securities and Exchange Business Development Manager, Phil Daka, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI), according to a press release from the organization.
“The Board of Directors of the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Phil E. Daka as Chief Executive Officer of ZACCI with effect from 16th November, 2020”, read a statement issued on 16th November 2020.
Phil, who also runs his own consultancy firm, PhilteQ Management Consultants which focuses on helping emerging corporates improve their effectiveness in organisational strategy, has over 13 years’ experience in leading international and local business strategies, investment analysis, communications, sales and marketing organizations and multinational teams with a proven track record of driving growth and organizational expansion.
Capital Markets observers and practitioners know Phil as one of the most passionate Zambians when it came to all matters of alternative finance. He was the visible face of the LuSE in the drive to get people knowledgeable and excited about investment opportunities that capital markets offered.

I am looking forward to our continued collaborations in realising our shared goal of developing our economy via leveraging capital markets”, read a congratulatory message from Mutomboi Mundia, Director – Market Supervision and Development at the Securities and Exchange Commission whom he worked with a peers in helping build capital markets in Zambia.
According to Phil’s new employer’s website, “the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) is the umbrella organization representing businesses across the country and across all sectors of the economy. ZACCI was established in 1933 and registered on 11 October 1990 under the Registrar of Societies Act with the mandate of advocating for a business environment that promotes business growth”.
Phil holds an MBA in leadership and sustainability from Robert Kennedy College Switzerland and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from University of Greenwich. He is one of the chose few lecturers of the prestigious Zambia College of Pensions and Insurance Trust Investment Advisors and Stock Brokering program which has graduated many investment professionals in Zambia.
