Yet another week of the bond market completely eclipsing the equity market as it recorded a score of 99% to 1% on the equities side .In regard to the bond market Copperbelt Energy Corporation recorded the highest turnover during the week.
In comparison to week one of October 2021, which recorded a 97% score to 3% on the equities side.
Equity Market
In the week ended 07th October 2022, a total of 464,700 shares were transacted in 551 trades, yielding a market turnover of K1,715,713. Trading activity was recorded in AECI MINING EXPLOSIVES, AIRTEL, BATA, BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO ZAMBIA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION, CHILANGA CEMENT, TAJ PAMDOZI HOTELS, PUMA ENERGY, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, ZAMBIAN BREWERIES, ZAMBIA FORESTRY and FOREST CORPORATION, ZAMBEEF, ZANACO, ZAMBIA SUGAR and CEC AFRICA INVESTMENTS on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 7,229.31 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K72,399,557,541 including Shoprite Holdings and K37,616,872,101 excluding Shoprite Holdings.
