In a combined week of June and July 2022, trading on the Lusaka Stock Exchange. As we enter the third quarter of the year there was very minimal trading activity on the bond market as there was on one day that recorded trades. The Bond market recorded a 93% to 7% on the equities as we closed the month of June. In regards to July there were no bonds traded leaving the equities market to completely dominate the bond market, recording a 100% score.
Equity Market
In the week ended 01st July 2022, a total of 624,500 shares were transacted in 459 trades, yielding a market turnover of K1,690,335. Trading activity was recorded in AFRICA EXPLOSIVES CORPORATION LIMITED, AIRTEL, BATA, COPPERBELT ENERGY CORPORATION, CHILANGA CEMENT, MADISON FINANCIAL SERVICES, PUMA, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT ZAMBIA, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, ZAMBIAN BREWERIES, ZAMBIA METAL FABRICATORS, ZANACO, ZAMBIA SUGAR, ZAMBIA FORESTRY CORPORATION and in CEC AFRICA on the quoted tier. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 6,854.12 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K70,766,460,343 including Shoprite Holdings and K35,983,774,903 excluding Shoprite Holdings.

Bonds of total face value of K29,500,000 were transacted in 3 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K20,392,310.
