The Honarable Minister also shared some of the aspirations that the new development from Liquid Intelligent will allow Government to achieve. “therefore, our focus as government is to transform zambia as a digitally enabled and knowledge-based society. the focus includes initiatives to improve e-government services, increase digital literacy, and promote the use of icts in education, health, agriculture, and other key sectors of the economy. as these plans and initiatives come take shape, the growth of our digital economy which currently stands at 45% can only grow if our people are enabled to effectively use safe digital services”.
Why fusion center makes sense
According to Executive Head Cloud and Cybersecurity at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Shuko Chunga, “The reason it’s called a Fusion Centre is because it combines security for network and cloud operations giving a wider view of incoming attacks. Adding to the broad overview this provides, Liquid applies measures – often using artificial intelligence (AI) – to the significant number of threats to try to triage them, and see which attacks need to be manually addressed.
The centre is also a part of Liquid’s growing matrix of CFSCs across the continent – in countries such as South Africa and Kenya, according to the Cybersecurity Head.
Furthermore, this solution is what will ensure no business is left behind. “They give Liquid – and our NGO and government partners – a much bigger overview of the types of attacks that Zambia and Africa face, and by gathering data – attack origins, types, targets, and the like – it empowers Liquid to provide the best protection available to our partners and clients”.
