The Access Bank Board of Directors has just announced their decision to appoint Mr. Lishala Situmbeko as Access Bank’s Country Managing Director effective November, 2021. In their announcement, Access Bank highlighted that Mr. Situmbeko is a pillar in the market, having more than 25 years of experience as a business leader in the private and public financial sectors. His achievements are vast and include success in business transformation, strategy setting and execution.
Prior to joining Access Bank, Mr Situmbeko served 10years at Zanaco Bank Plc where he rose through the ranks to be Chief Commercial Officer. Before that, he held senior Treasury roles at Barclays Bank (Z) Plc as well as being a Senior Economist at the Ministry of Finance, and a specialist in economic and financial markets at the Bank of Zambia.
With such an impressive background and experience along with numerous educational accolades, Access Bank has recognised an incredible asset toward their goal to continue their Zambian growth plan and become the World’s Most Respected African Bank.
