Two weeks into March 2021 trading on the LuSE nine companies’ securities recorded trades with Investrust Zambia as the highest priced security in comparison to week two of March 2020 which only recorded six companies securities’ with Airtel Zambia as the highest priced security. Only three days recorded trades of which Tuesdays’ equity trading was the best performance of the week. Trading activity was recorded in, CEC ZAMBIA,PUMA, REI ZAMBIA. INVESTRUST ZAMBIA, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, ZAMBIA SUGAR, ZAMBIA FOREST and FORESTRY CORPORATION and ZAMBIA METAL FABRICATORS.
ZANACO reported that its Group’s performance continued on a strong growth trajectory. Total operating income increased by 54% from K1,543 million in 2019 to K2,373 million in 2020 primarily due to increase in trading income and interest income from loans and advances.
