Equity Market
In the week ended 9th October 2020, a total of 46,120 shares were transacted in 43 trades, yielding a market turnover of K215,922. Trading activity was recorded in AFRICA EXPLOSIVES LIMITED ZAMBIA, LAFARGE, STANDARD CHARTERED ZAMBIA, METAL FABRICATORS OF ZAMBIA, ZANACO and ZAMBIA CONSOLIDATED COPPER MINES. The Index (LASI) closed at 3,811.75 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K55,896,157,023 including Shoprite Holdings and K21,656,951,043 excluding Shoprite Holdings.
Bond Market
During the week, bonds of total face value of K22,894,000 were transacted in 24 trades, yielding a market value sales of K15,943,000. Week two has outperformed week one of Octobers’ 2020 bond trading in terms of Face value, Sales as well as Trades.
