The only listed tree processing company on the Lusaka Securities Exchange has announced the appointment of a new company secretary, according to a statement from the ZAFICCO.
“In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Lusaka Securities Exchange Listing Rules (“LuSE Rules”), ZAFFICO is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Chanza Kephas Sikazwe to its Board of Directors as Corporation Secretary”, read the statement that was authorized by the Board and issued by its Chairperson, Anne Doma Gray-Kunda on 8th September 2020.
Chanza is well qualified for his new role. He holds a Master of Laws Degree in Commercial Law (LLM) from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Zambia and is a full Member of the Law Association of Zambia. He is an Advocate with 14 years’ post qualification experience in both the Public and Private sector, according to the published statement.
His experience ranges from dispute resolution, civil and commercial, mediation, arbitration, litigation, conveyancing, Banking, Insurance and Employment disputes, Election petitions, prosecuting and defending lawsuits against the Government, Statutory bodies, private entities. Prior to joining ZAFFICO,
Mr. Sikazwe worked for various institutions which include the Bank of Zambia, the Attorney General’s Chambers under Ministry of Justice, Access Bank Zambia, Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia, Christopher, Russell Cook & Co, and Solly Patel, Hamir & Lawrence. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board of Directors for the Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) as Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) representative. He is also the owner of Chanza Sikazwe Advocates which is a legal practitioners and Commissioners of Oaths entity, according to his LinkedIn profile.
