Bond Market Diary (4th to 7th February) 

In the first week of February 2020, bonds of total face value of K10,502,000 were transacted in 9 trades, yielding a market value sales of K6,788,000. Only three days recorded trades on the bond market in the first week of February as compared to the first week of January bond trading with the first week not recording trades at all. Wednesday was the best performing for the week.

Monday 3rd

Bonds of total face value of K5,000,000 were transacted in 1 trade, resulting in a market value sales of K2,713,420.

Tuesday 4th

Bonds of total face value of K404,000 were transacted in 2 trades, resulting in a market value sales of K346,100.

Wednesday 5th

Bonds of total face value K5,098,000 were transacted in 6 trades, resulting in market value sales of K3,728,610.

Thursday 6th

There were no bonds traded today.

Friday 7th

There were no bonds traded today.

Despite only three days recording trades during the week, corporate bonds edge equities by 100% as shown below in the chart.
