In the first week of February 2020, trading on the LuSE. We see the continuance pattern between the bond market and the equities market, as nothing changes in comparison to the first week of January. With the bond market scoring 100% of the sales in the Zambian capital market.

Equity Market Update      

In the week ended 7th February 2020, a total of 51,550,940 shares were transacted in 109 trades, yielding a market turnover of K32,059,252. Trading activity was recorded in AFRICA EXPLOSIVES LIMITED, AIRTEL, CEC ZAMBIA, LAFARGE, STANDARD CHARTERED BANK LIMITED, ZAMBIA BREWIERS, ZANACO and ZAMBIA SUGAR. The LuSE All Share Index (LASI) closed at 4,254.23 points. The market closed on a capitalization of K56,512,852,112 including Shoprite Holdings and K22,273,646,132 excluding Shoprite Holdings.


Bond Market Update 7th February 2020

During the week, bonds of total face value of K10,502,000 were transacted in 9 trades, yielding a market value sales of K6,788,000.
